Fundraising for St. Nicholas Ministries, Inc.

An early story from the life of Saint Nicholas suggests that he threw purses containing gold coins down the chimney of a poor family and that they landed in stockings drying near the fire below [this is thought to be the origin of today's Christmas Stockings tradition.] In the spirit of the above, early on our parish adopted the name “Saint Nicholas’ Purse” to signify our benevolence fund for making gifts to those in need. The monies raised by this fundraiser will benefit Saint Nicholas' Purse.
